Shree Vyankatesh Balaji Sansthan is a religious estate formed during the Peshwa period by the Balajiwale family at Nashik. The sansthan has large land holdings and owns multiple historic sites, one of which is Navin Wada. This 4-storeyed wada with defensive bastions is built on top of the Saraswati rivulet and adjecent to Ram Setu in Old Nashik. As a massive, imposing Maratha period structure, it is an integral part of Juna Nashik along the banks of Godavari river. Along with multiple experts, Studio Gestalt has carried out conservation assessment and structural audit of this structure. We have also created an owners manual for repairs and maintainence of the site. Additionally we are providing architectural consultancy for installation of a solar power plant on the historic roofing at this site.
