The Sardar Phanse Chhatri Complex was built by Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar in memory of her daughter Sau. Muktabai Phanse and son-in-law Sardar Yashwantrao Phanse. The richly carved Chhatris portray musicians, soldiers, courtesans, priests, and scenes of everyday 18th-century life, reflecting the vibrant socio-cultural heritage of historic Maheshwar.
